Judge’s Son Killing: Show-Cause Issued to Police Commissioner

A Rajshahi court has ordered the city’s Police Commissioner, Mohammad Abu Sufian, to appear and explain why an accused was allowed to speak to the media while in police custody.
The directive was issued today (Saturday) by the Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate’s Amli Court after the media broadcast statements made by Limon Mia, who was arrested in connection with the murder of Rajshahi’s Judge Abdur Rahman’s son.
The court instructed Police Commissioner Sufian to appear by next Wednesday and present a formal explanation.
