Hasnat Abdullah Injured as NCP Organizer’s Vehicle Attacked in Gazipur

Hasnat Abdullah, the Chief Organizer (Southern Region) of the National Citizens' Party (NCP), was injured in an alleged attack on his vehicle in the Chandana Chowrasta area of Gazipur city on Sunday evening.
According to initial reports, a group of 10–12 assailants attacked his car, smashing the windows and injuring Abdullah’s hand. He was inside the vehicle during the assault.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police's Basan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahin Khan confirmed the incident, saying, “We’re still gathering details and trying to understand what exactly happened.”
NCP’s Chief Organizer (Northern Region), Sarjis Alam, also mentioned the incident in a Facebook post, stating that Abdullah’s hand was bloodied due to the attack and urged nearby residents to protect him.
A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Hasnat Abdullah is currently safe inside the IUT campus in the Board Bazar area of Gazipur, where law enforcement officials are speaking with him regarding the incident.
