Eid Journey: Advance Train Ticket Sales Begin
The online sale of advance train tickets for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr has begun.
On Friday (March 14), the sale of tickets for intercity trains of the western region started at 8:00 AM. Tickets for intercity trains of the eastern region will be selling at 2:00 PM.
Confirming this, Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Station Master of Dhaka Railway (Kamalapur Station), said, "The online sale of tickets for intercity trains of the western region started at 8:00 AM. The sale for eastern region trains will begin at 2:00 PM." As in previous years, 100% of the tickets will be sold online this time as well.
According to the decision of Bangladesh Railways, tickets for the intercity trains before Eid will be sold on the following schedule:
March 24 tickets will be sold on March 14, March 25 tickets will be sold on March 15, March 26 tickets will be sold on March 16, March 27 tickets will be sold on March 17, March 28 tickets will be sold on March 18, March 29 tickets will be sold on March 19, March 30 tickets will be sold on March 20.
Based on moon sightings, tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 may also be sold.
