Court Imposes Travel Ban on Faisal, Prime Accused in Osman Hadi Murder Case- ওসমান হাদি হত্যা মামলার প্রধান আসামি ফয়সালের দেশত্যাগে নিষেধাজ্ঞা
Bangladesh: A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban on Faisal Karim Masud, the prime accused in the murder case of Osman Hadi, convener of the Inqilab Mancha platform. The order was issued on Sunday (December 21) by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka, Awlad Hossain Mohammad Junaid.
According to sources at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the restriction was approved following an application submitted by the investigation officer. The court has already forwarded the order to the relevant authorities to ensure its enforcement. Investigators expressed concern that the accused might attempt to flee the country while the investigation is ongoing.
The application stated that intelligence gathered through confidential sources indicated that fugitive accused Faisal Karim Masud, also known as Rahul Daud, could leave Bangladesh at any time. To prevent his escape, the investigating agency sought immediate legal measures to block his departure through land, sea, or air ports and to ensure his detention if he attempts to complete immigration formalities.

ইনকিলাব মঞ্চের আহ্বায়ক শহীদ শরিফ ওসমান হাদিকে হত্যার ঘটনায় দায়ের করা মামলার প্রধান আসামি ফয়সাল করিম মাসুদের বিদেশ যাত্রায় নিষেধাজ্ঞা আরোপ করেছেন আদালত। রোববার (২১ ডিসেম্বর) ঢাকার অতিরিক্ত চিফ মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আওলাদ হোসাইন মোহাম্মদ জুনায়েদ এ আদেশ দেন।
ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) সূত্র জানায়, মামলার তদন্ত কর্মকর্তা আদালতে আবেদন করলে তা বিবেচনা করে ফয়সালের দেশত্যাগে নিষেধাজ্ঞা মঞ্জুর করা হয়। আদালতের নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী এ আদেশ ইতোমধ্যে সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে। তদন্তে বিঘ্ন ঘটাতে আসামি দেশ ছেড়ে পালিয়ে যেতে পারেন—এমন আশঙ্কা থেকেই এ পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে।
আবেদনে উল্লেখ করা হয়, গোপন সূত্রে প্রাপ্ত তথ্যে জানা গেছে যে এজাহারনামীয় পলাতক আসামি ফয়সাল করিম মাসুদ ওরফে রাহুল দাউদ যে কোনো সময় বাংলাদেশ ত্যাগ করে বিদেশে পাড়ি জমাতে পারেন। তাই স্থল, নৌ ও বিমানবন্দর দিয়ে ইমিগ্রেশন সম্পন্ন করে পালিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা রোধ এবং প্রয়োজন হলে তাকে আটক নিশ্চিত করতে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে আইনগত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের প্রয়োজন দেখা দেয়।
