The film Utshob, released during Eid, has already become popular among urban audiences. Most of its shows at multiplexes across the country are running houseful, and the number of screenings has increased in the second week due to high demand.
After gaining widespread popularity at home, this family drama is now set to be released internationally. Utshob will premiere in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Starting from June 20, the film will be screened at Cineplex in Canada, AMC, Regal, and Cinemark in the US, and at Cineworld theatres in the UK.
The film’s international distribution is being handled by Swapno Scarecrow. Additionally, Utshob will be released in Australia on June 21.
Directed by Tanim Noor, Utshob is inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic novel ‘A Christmas Carol’. The story revolves around a miserly man who, on the night of a festival, is visited by the spirits of his three former business partners. They take him on a journey through memories of his past, present, and future—an experience that begins to transform his outlook on life.
The film stars Zahid Hasan, Jaya Ahsan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Aupee Karim, Tariq Anam Khan, Intekhab Dinar, Sadia Ayman, and Soumya Jyoti.
