Farida Parveen's Health Improves, Shifted to Cabin
Nationally renowned Lalon singer and Ekushey Padak awardee Farida Parveen has been undergoing treatment at Dhaka Universal Medical College Hospital since July 5 for kidney-related complications and other health issues.
As her condition deteriorated, a medical board comprising nine specialist doctors was formed last Wednesday to ensure better treatment.
According to the hospital authorities, her condition has slightly improved, and she was shifted from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a cabin on the night of July 13.
Ashis Kumar Chakrabarti, Managing Director of Dhaka Universal Medical College Hospital, confirmed the development. Speaking to the media on Monday morning (July 14), he said, "Farida Parveen is now in somewhat better condition than before."
