China Reaffirms Support for Iran Amid Escalating Middle East Conflict (Follow Slider for More Updates)

China has reaffirmed its diplomatic and political support for Iran amid the continuing military confrontation involving the United States and Israel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China said Beijing opposes attacks on sovereign states and stresses the importance of protecting territorial integrity, national security and legitimate rights during armed conflicts.

China Reaffirms Support for Iran’s Sovereignty by Phone Call

China reiterated its backing for Iran’s sovereignty and security, saying it supports Iran in protecting its territorial integrity, national dignity and legitimate rights and interests.

The statement reflects Beijing’s diplomatic position on the conflict, while also recognizing the security concerns of Gulf countries and expressing support for their efforts to maintain internal safety and regional stability.

As stated in the official briefing, “China supports Iran in defending sovereignty and security, territorial integrity and national dignity and in safeguarding its own legitimate and lawful rights and interests.”

Call to Stop Military Operations by United States and Israel

Chinese officials urged an immediate end to military actions in the region, saying the strikes risk widening the conflict across the Middle East. Beijing condemned attacks on civilian areas and facilities, warning that indiscriminate use of force violates international humanitarian principles and threatens innocent lives.

Nuclear Issue Should Be Resolved Through Dialogue

China also called for resolving tensions surrounding the Iranian nuclear issue through diplomatic negotiations. Beijing noted statements from international monitoring authorities indicating no confirmed evidence of a structured programme to develop nuclear weapons and reiterated the right of countries to pursue peaceful nuclear energy development.

Regional Stability and Global Energy Security

Chinese authorities expressed concern that continued fighting could disrupt shipping routes and international energy supply chains.

They urged all parties to avoid actions that may endanger navigation through strategic waterways and stressed that maintaining stable global energy flows is a shared responsibility of the international community.
